Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 August 2026
Welcome to Calon Compass.

These Terms & Conditions explain the terms that apply when you use the Calon Compass website, purchase a digital product or resource, or book a service with us.
Please read them carefully before making a purchase or booking.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Calon Compass
Calon Compass is a trading name operated by Deborah Larden, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
In these Terms & Conditions:
“Calon Compass”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Deborah Larden trading as Calon Compass.
“You” and “your” mean the person using our website, purchasing a product or booking a service.
You can contact us at:
Email: hello@caloncompass.co.uk
Business address: [insert appropriate business address once confirmed]

2. What Calon Compass Provides
Calon Compass provides practical resources and personal support designed to help people bring greater clarity and organisation to everyday life, changing circumstances and important next steps.
Depending on what is available at the time, we may offer:

  • downloadable planners;
  • guides;
  • checklists;
  • worksheets;
  • templates;
  • organisational and practical resources;
  • digital resource collections;
  • one-to-one practical support;
  • booked sessions; and
  • other products or services described on our website.

The individual product or service page will explain what is included before you purchase.

3. An Important Note About Our Support
Calon Compass provides practical, organisational and supportive guidance.
We are not a medical or mental-health service, counselling or psychotherapy service, legal adviser, financial adviser, regulated care provider, social-work service or emergency service.
Our resources and personal support are not intended to diagnose, treat or replace professional medical, psychological, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.
You remain responsible for decisions and actions relating to your own circumstances.
If something is outside the scope of Calon Compass, we may encourage you to seek support from an appropriately qualified professional or organisation.

4. Using Our Website
You may use this website for lawful personal purposes.
You agree not to:

  • misuse or attempt to interfere with the website;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;
  • introduce malicious software or harmful material;
  • use our content for unlawful purposes;
  • copy or commercially exploit our content without permission; or
  • use the website in a way that infringes another person's rights.

We may make reasonable changes to the website and its general content from time to time.

5. Product and Service Information
We aim to describe our products and services clearly and accurately.
Before you purchase, the relevant page will provide information about the product or service, including its price and what is included.
Digital products will be identified as digital products so that you know that no physical item will be delivered unless expressly stated otherwise.
Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device, printer, paper or print settings.
Where relevant, we will provide information we are required to give you about the functionality and compatibility of digital content.

6. Prices and Payment
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.
The total price payable and any mandatory charges or applicable taxes will be made clear before you complete your purchase.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
We will not add optional charges without your express agreement.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options.

7. Orders and Bookings
When you place an order or make a booking, you are offering to purchase the relevant product or service.
Please check the information you provide before submitting your order or booking.
A contract is formed when your order or booking is accepted and confirmation is provided to you, unless the checkout or booking process clearly states otherwise.
We reserve the right to decline an order or booking where there is a legitimate reason to do so, for example where a service is unavailable, a payment has not been authorised or an obvious error has occurred.
If we cannot fulfil something you have already paid for, we will provide an appropriate refund or other remedy as required by law.

8. Digital Products
Most Calon Compass shop products are expected to be supplied digitally.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • no physical item will be posted;
  • your purchase is for access to or use of the digital product described on the product page; and
  • delivery or access instructions will be provided electronically.

Please make sure that the email address supplied during purchase is correct.
If you experience difficulty accessing a purchased digital product, contact:
hello@caloncompass.co.uk
and we will make reasonable efforts to help.

9. Your Right to Cancel — Digital Content
Different cancellation rules apply to digital content supplied by download or other immediate electronic access.
Where you choose to receive paid digital content immediately during the statutory cancellation period, we will ask you to:

  • expressly agree to the digital content being supplied immediately; and
  • acknowledge that, once supply begins in the circumstances provided by law, you will lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel that digital-content purchase.

This information should also be included in the confirmation provided to you.
If the legally required consent and acknowledgement have not been obtained, your statutory cancellation rights are not removed simply because the product is digital.
Nothing in this section affects your rights where digital content is faulty, misdescribed or otherwise does not meet the standards required by consumer law.

10. Problems With Digital Products
Your statutory consumer rights apply to digital content.
Digital content supplied by Calon Compass must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law.
If you believe a digital product is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not comply with your statutory rights, please contact:
hello@caloncompass.co.uk
Please explain the problem and, where useful, provide information that helps us understand what has happened.
We will consider the matter fairly and provide any remedy to which you are legally entitled.

11. Personal Use of Digital Products
Unless a product page expressly says otherwise, Calon Compass digital products are sold for your personal use only.
Your purchase gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the resource.
You may download and print reasonable copies for your own personal use.
You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • sell or resell a Calon Compass resource;
  • share purchased files with other people;
  • upload them to file-sharing websites or platforms;
  • reproduce or distribute them commercially;
  • copy substantial parts to create another product;
  • modify them for resale;
  • remove ownership notices and present the work as your own; or
  • use our products to create materials for commercial sale or distribution.

Purchasing a digital product does not transfer ownership of its intellectual property to you.

12. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, original Calon Compass website content and materials—including original text, branding, graphics, designs and digital resources—belong to Deborah Larden trading as Calon Compass or are used under appropriate permission or licence.
They are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
You may use our content only as permitted by these Terms or as otherwise agreed by us in writing.

13. Booking Personal Support Services
Where Calon Compass offers bookable personal-support services, the service page will explain what the session includes, its price and any relevant booking information.
Please provide accurate information when booking so that we can prepare appropriately and communicate with you if necessary.
A booking does not create a medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, care or other regulated professional relationship.

14. Your Statutory Right to Cancel a Service
If you are a consumer and book a service online or at a distance, you will normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period, subject to the applicable legal rules and exceptions.
If you wish to exercise a statutory cancellation right, you can clearly tell us by emailing:
hello@caloncompass.co.uk
You do not have to give a reason for exercising a statutory cancellation right.
Where required, we will also make the applicable model cancellation information or form available.

15. Services Beginning During the Cancellation Period
If you expressly ask Calon Compass to begin providing a service before the statutory cancellation period has ended, different rules may apply.
Where the law permits, if you subsequently cancel after performance has begun at your express request, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied.
If a service is fully performed during the cancellation period following the requests and acknowledgements required by law, your statutory cancellation right may end once the service has been fully performed.
We will not rely on this provision where the legal requirements for doing so have not been satisfied.

16. Rescheduling and Cancelling Appointments
We understand that circumstances change.
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booked Calon Compass session, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Any specific cancellation or rescheduling arrangements applicable to a service will be clearly communicated before you book.
Any cancellation charge or amount retained will be fair and proportionate and will take account of the circumstances and the loss reasonably caused by the cancellation.
Nothing in our booking policy will remove statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to you.
If Calon Compass has to cancel your appointment, we will normally offer you the choice of:

  • rearranging the session; or
  • receiving an appropriate refund for the affected service.

17. Providing Our Services
We will provide Calon Compass services with the reasonable care and skill required by applicable consumer law.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide the service at the agreed time.
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may require a booking to be changed.
If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain your options.

18. Results and Outcomes
Calon Compass exists to provide thoughtful, practical support and resources.
However, people's circumstances are different and we cannot promise or guarantee a particular personal, organisational, financial, legal, health or other outcome from using a Calon Compass product or service.
This does not affect our obligation to provide services with reasonable care and skill or any other statutory rights you have.

19. Refunds
Refunds will be provided where required by applicable consumer law.
Any additional goodwill refund arrangement we choose to offer will be separate from, and will not replace, your statutory rights.
We will not use a blanket “no refunds” policy to remove rights that consumers have under law.
Where a statutory cancellation or other consumer remedy requires a refund, it will be processed in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

20. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to websites, social-media platforms, payment providers or services operated by third parties.
These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for third-party content or services merely because our website provides a link to them.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Website Availability
We aim to keep the Calon Compass website and purchased digital resources reasonably accessible.
However, websites and online systems occasionally experience maintenance, technical problems or interruptions outside our reasonable control.
We cannot promise uninterrupted access at all times.
If a technical problem prevents you from accessing something you have purchased, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to resolve the issue and provide any remedy required by law.

22. Our Responsibility to You
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when our contract with you was formed.
Calon Compass products and services are intended primarily for personal consumer use. We do not accept responsibility for business losses arising where a product or service was purchased wholly or mainly for commercial or business purposes, except where the law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits any remedy or compensation that consumer law requires us to provide.

23. Personal Information
We handle personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
Please read the separate Calon Compass Privacy Policy to understand how and why we collect, use and protect personal information.
Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided separately in our Cookie Policy.

24. Online Communities and Social Media
Calon Compass may operate or participate in online communities or social-media spaces.
We want those spaces to remain supportive and respectful.
Where Calon Compass controls a community, we may take reasonable moderation action in relation to material that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unlawful, deliberately harmful, infringes another person's rights, exposes another person's private information without appropriate permission, or constitutes unauthorised spam or advertising.
Third-party platforms also operate under their own terms and community rules.

25. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please contact us.
We want concerns to be handled fairly and reasonably.
Email:
hello@caloncompass.co.uk
Please provide enough information for us to understand the issue and investigate it.
We will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising your statutory consumer rights.

26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, products, services or applicable law.
The latest version for future purchases and bookings will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
The terms applicable to an existing purchase will normally remain those that applied when the contract was formed, unless a change is required by law or is otherwise validly agreed with you.

27. If Part of These Terms Cannot Be Enforced
If a court or other competent authority decides that part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, that will not automatically affect the remaining provisions.
The remaining Terms will continue to apply so far as permitted by law.
28. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to the mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights that apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that applicable consumer law gives you.
